Frequently
Asked Questions
We’ve gathered all the important details in one place to make things easy for you.
Check out the FAQs below, and if there’s anything else you need to know, just let us know!
-
Do I need to prepare anything visa-wise?Yes! Please apply for an ETIAS travel authorization; all foreign citizens need this to travel to the EU without a visa.
-
What do I wear?Cocktail or semi-formal, as defined here please.
-
Are kids invited?Love to visit and spoil all the children, but for this celebratory weekend we’d like to keep it adults only please.
-
I don’t see a wedding registry? You all are the gifts! We fully appreciate everyone taking time out of their busy lives and hopping over to Lithuania to come celebrate us for the weekend, so no we do not have a registry and are not expecting any gifts.
-
Do I need to know the language? No, Lithuanians generally are fairly adept at English. However as with any country you visit, brushing up on hello / thank you / please won’t hurt and will definitely be appreciated by the locals. Although unlikely, if you do run into any older Lithuanians that only know their local language & Russian then Google Translate can be clutch.
-
What will the weather be like?Lithuania in early September is a fairly temperate summer with long daylight hours, mostly clear with only a couple days of light rain, and peak temps approaching upper 70s / lower 80s and cooling down in the evening down to upper 50s / lower 60s.
-
Any useful apps I should have?Google Maps for navigation (Apple Maps technically works but much less reliable), Bolt for rideshare, Wolt or Bolt for food delivery, WhatsApp to text our day-of-coordinator and/or any local friends you make :)
-
Who can I contact if I need help or have questions? On the wedding day itself, our day-of-coordinator Laura will be available to help everyone navigate the day. Otherwise on other days feel free to text Erik or Emily directly!

Any suggestions on what to do?Please check out our Details page, in the Local Suggestions section towards the bottom.
